Social Amelioration Society was established in 1999, keeping in mind the objective of providing professional education, skill development and training that is holistic and shall help students/ working people to be certified, competitive and knowledgeable in their area of practice. Social Amelioration Society focuses on short term, modular courses/ vocational courses that can help apprentices and professionals in a short time span.

Social Amelioration Society was formed with an avowed mission of providing modern facilities of education and social upliftment in the North- Eastern Region. The main objective of the society is to create awareness among the rural people regarding the need of education. The aim of the society is to develop a pool of talent in the field of education to compete in the future. In addition to these, adding value to the field of short-term education, bringing fresh ideas, supporting a high-performance culture and providing cross divisional knowledge, sharing and networking are key features of the society. Social Amelioration Society is structured to give its students the unrivalled breadth of exposure and experience they need over the years to develop a challenging career for the future. The institute is unique in this respect and owing to the fact that it serves as a positive force to provide impetus to the education sector in this region. The various courses under Social Amelioration Society have been designed to generate employment through professional & vocational training, improving the quality of service and product delivery through skill development and to create sustainable competitiveness in professionals. We have worked with many Central and State Government departments as a partner in their social development goals. We have impacted over 1,00,00 people in North-Eastern states of India in the few span of time.

Associations and Training Institutes across India.

The Government has constituted Prime Minister’s National Council on Skill Development for coordinated action for skill development, both in the domain of public and private sector. The National Council on Skill Development mandates skill formation to develop the workforce with enhanced skill through structured programme and assessment.

Food Industry Capacity & Skill Initiative (FICSI)—widely known as Food Processing Sector Skill Council—is a Not-for-Profit Organization, registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and working under the aegis of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. The organization is Promoted by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) with financial support by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).
