Social Amelioration Society, Imphal is
a non-profit organization based in Imphal, Manipur, India. It was founded in
1996 and has been working tirelessly to promote social change and bring about
sustainable development in the region. we believe that every individual has the
right to a life of dignity, free from discrimination and exploitation, and work
towards achieving this through their various initiatives. The organization is dedicated
to the upliftment of the youths, marginalized and disadvantaged sections of
society, especially women, children, and persons with

training for the youths, women and girls, healthcare and nutrition support for
children, and livelihood support for persons who are in need including the
person with disabilities. Awareness campaigns on issues such as gender-based
violence, child labor, and child trafficking were also a part of the
organization’s program.
Social Amelioration Society works
closely with the local community and government agencies to ensure the
effective implementation of the programs. we also collaborate with other NGOs
and local civil society organizations (CSOs) to create a network of support for
the marginalized sections of society.
